Hey there!! I'm Candice Anjelica, the owner and operator of Anjelic Scents. I really don't have a super interesting or inspirational story on how I ventured into candle making but here it goes..
I've always had a passion for business especially the operations piece. I decided to earn my Bachelor's Degree in Business while I worked as a manager for a large retail company. My original plans were to continue moving up the ladder at my job but after I earned my degree I suddenly became uninterested in moving further along in my career. I became passionate about owning my own business. Like really passionate, it was all I could think of day and night. I already had the passion for business and almost 13 years of experience of running someone else's business but I was missing something....the product. I had no clue what I wanted to offer and/or create.
God placed the idea of candles on my heart back in February 2020. It was like the perfect idea, a no brainer. One thing about me, I love a good smell. The power of a scent is so amazing. I love how a certain scent can instantly trigger a memory, set a mode, create a relaxing environment and so much more. So with that idea, I researched, researched and researched, bought some supplies and I started making candles and wax melts. It actually became my stress reliever from work and it also added more fuel to my passion for business. I started making the candles and wax melts in my kitchen and stored them in my closet. I started giving them to family and friends and they loved them so much that they wanted to buy them. They ended up telling people and those people told people and then word of mouth took over and did its job. I left my job of almost 13 years, stepped out on faith and on July 1st, 2020 I launched my online candle business!!! I haven't looked back since.
I know that God will accelerate His plan for my life as I put my trust in Him. I've already meet some amazing people and I have a support team that is out of this world! I've had customers that have turned into friends and strangers who are steadily rooting for me to succeed. I'm so excited to see where this adventure will take me.
