Wax Melt Warmer Types

Different types of wax melt warmers may affect the scent throw. We've tested 3 different style warmers with our melts and wanted to share some key points along with our observations below.
**These are only opinions, you may get different results**
Tealight Warmer:
  • Requires an unscented tealight to heat the dish and melt the wax.
  • Produce strong heat and therefore give a powerful scent throw.
  • Fragrance burns off at a faster rate.
  • During testing, we were able to get 10-12 hours of fragrance using 2 squares of our wax melts

Electric Warmer (Bulb):

  • Not all bulb warmers are equal. Be sure to check the bulb wattage.
  • Will not get as hot as tea light burners so in comparison they don’t give off as strong a scent.
  • Fragrance doesn’t burn off as quickly resulting in each wax melt lasting longer.
  • During testing, we noticed a warmer with a lower wattage bulb did not release the aroma sufficiently.
  • We were able to get 3-4 days of fragrance using 2 squares from our wax melt bar.
Electric Warmer (Hot Plate):
  • Will not get as hot as tea light burners but are hotter than bulb warmers.
  • Fragrance doesn’t burn off as quickly resulting in each wax melt lasting longer if you want a continued aroma.
  • During testing, we noticed that the hot plate warmer gets hotter and lets off a stronger scent than a bulb warmer.
  • We were able to get 4-5 days of fragrance using 2 squares from our wax melt bars.
